About Amway
What is Amway?
In 1959, two friends named Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel founded Amway as an opportunity for average people to own their own business from home. It is one of the largest, if not the largest, direct selling companies that uses the network marketing (MLM) model as a means of creating and expanding business. The company operates under the Alticor banner, is present in 80+ countries worldwide, and is based out of Ada, Michigan, USA. The company hosts a wide variety of product lines for its independent representatives to sell such as skincare, cosmetics, vitamins, house cleaners, air/water purifiers, jewelry, electronics, and more.
Amway has been the subject to much controversy over the years with many people writing and posting negative Amway scam posts and blogs on the web and elsewhere. In this neutral Amway review, we will discuss the details behind the business to give a better understanding of the company and its practices. It should not be considered an Amway Global scam, though.
How It Works
The process to start your own Amway business is quite simple. You can sign up as an independent business owner (IBO) for $62 per year and also purchase an optional sample product pack for an additional $79 or so. After you sign up, you then have exclusive rights to sell the exclusive brands of Amway such as Nutrilite, Artistry, eSpring, Ribbon, and more, and receive them at wholesale pricing. For each sale or volume created, you are awarded points. The more points you earn the more money. The first way you can earn income is by selling these products at retail value and reaping a profit margin between the wholesale and retail difference earning cash plus points. The products are not limited to the exclusive Amway brands as there are also partner companies such as Best Buy, Sears, Disney, and more.
The other way you make money with Amway is by recruiting people into the business and becoming their sponsor to start creating a residual income. As your team starts to sell and make money, the points generated through their efforts add up to you. According to how much volume in points you and your team create, you are paid in income. Amway reviews all the levels and percentages in their compensation plan. The levels go from 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%, 18%, 21%, and up to 25%.
After you have reached 25% you are called Platinum and can expect to make $30,000+ annually plus additional bonuses come in for people at that level and above. Diamonds make on average $150,000+ and it takes about 2-5 years. You pretty much just sell the product, and recruit others to do the same and build wealth. But there is more to that. You have to become ambitious and a true leader to inspire your team to make it grow into a big Amway business.

Is Amway a Scam?
Do you really think professional sports teams such as the Orlando Magic, Detroit Red Wings, San Jose Earthquakes, and Los Angeles Sol would want to be sponsored by Amway if it was really a scam? Amway is NOT a scam, but there is a reason why some people write Amway scam reviews. The reason is because it is not easy to build a profitable Amway business. It takes time, patience, hard work, and a mental transformation into an entrepreneur and leader which for most people does not come naturally. For that reason, most people will never reach the high earning levels in Amway and the majority of people who join will wash out.
Final Thoughts
It really takes a certain type of drive to make Amway work. There are virtually no requirements to join Amway and for that reason anybody, poor or high quality, can get involved. So what happens is most people do not cut it and instead of blaming themselves, it only comes easy to blame Amway and label it as The Amway Scam. Amway is probably one of the best multi-level marketing companies out there and is also probably one of the most grounded and has created more millionaires than any other company other than Microsoft.
This Amway scam review wasn’t intended to be biased in any way. And although Amway is one of the most classic ways to gain financial freedom, there are now much better and improved ways of building wealth from home due to computers and the internet. You can now make thousands of dollars a month from home just using your computer and there are courses and systems out there that will train you even if you have no experience.
